Jay DiGangi-Roush is the owner and operator of Moondoggie Spa grooming. Jay has been in the "pet business" for over 40 yeas. He has bred, raised and shown dogs as well as has owned his own pet shop, Kennel and Grooming salon in the Western New York area and now he's here in Pennsylvania to serve you!

Jay provides only the best service and care for your pet, because of his life-long love and fascination with the animals that are so close to us and important to us in our lives. Jay feels that pets are really more than pets. They are sometimes the only solace we have at the end of a long and impossible day. When we look into their eyes, we believe we see the only other creature on the planet that understands us and how we feel, and they respond in-kind -- with love!

"You will never have to worry about your pet at Moondoggie Spa," Jay says. "This is not a 'job' to me. It's my life and always has been. I know how important your pet is to you. I will always take care of them."

These are unaltered before and after pics. The Alteration took place on the grooming table. The color difference comes from taking the time to fully shampoo and comb out matting.  Do not try taking your beloved pet to a big box store or less than optimal groomer. Choose Jay at Moondoggie Spa!

Our philosophy is simple...

No colors, chemicals or drugs in our practice. This means we use a natural soap for baths and do NOT offer flea treatments. We WILL however, use specialty shampoos you bring that your vet requires, but usually not anything "off the shelf" from the store, unless it is also natural and healthy with its ingredients.

We prefer to bring out the natural beauty of your breed, which may take longer. This means that shaving is a last resort for some breeds, but yes, we do shave for the heat and summer season. That's better for some dogs and breeds than others. We also realize that shaving is an important part of grooming for some breeds. We'd be happy to discuss your dog's unique needs. We offer tailored grooming per your instructions. This includes traditional cuts for the breeds.

We do not offer grooming services for cats except for nail trimming. We can do nails and baths for other pets including guinea pigs and rabbits (just ask about others!)
